The Lunkarya, or 'Lunk', is a Scandinavian breed with dense, coarse, tightly curled hair that stands out from the body in rough ringlets. It is rare outside Sweden and northern Europe.
The thick curls trap bedding and debris easily, so they need diligent grooming and a scrupulously clean cage. This is a specialist's breed.
Lunks tend to be lively and spirited. Their wild, curly look is unmistakable once you have seen one.
