Short-haired · Low-Medium grooming also called the Aby
The Abyssinian's short coat is covered in rosettes, swirls of hair that radiate from a centre point, giving it a permanently ruffled, spiky look. A good show 'Aby' has eight or more evenly placed rosettes.
The coat is short so grooming is easy, but the rosettes can trap bits of hay and bedding, so a regular brush helps.
Abyssinians are famous for being bold, curious and a little mischievous, one of the most characterful breeds, and a favourite for that reason.
